Skiing

Sierra Nevada´s ski courses have been designed by European and American specialists, guaranteeing superb conditions for the skier. With a total of 61 kilometers spread over 39 runs, plus 6 sensational off-course trails, Sierra Nevada offers the visitor a wide choice of activities.
Sierra Nevada has a vertical drop of 1,300 meters, and snow areas for all types of skiers, from beginners to experts. If you have never skied before, you will find the 61km of slopes wide and easy, with the soft, forgiving snow acting as a cushion against falls. A major selling point for Sierra Nevada, over its other more northerly rivals, is that it's an avalanche-free zone. Also a bonus is its southerly position that affords it hours of blue sky and sunshine.

Snowboarding

Sierra Nevada offers the snowboarder a completely different experience.
Take advantage of the open spaces, natural quarters, windlips and endless slopes and enjoy the magnificent facilities that provide access to the different areas of the resort. Free-riding at over 3,000m means access to the best snow quality for over 60km. The snowpark in the middle of Veleta is well worth a visit.
This together with the possibility of night-time snowbaording (weekends) and breathtaking nightlife makes the Sierra Nevada an exceptional venue for this sport. Any time from December to May offers you good snow, from the purest dry powder in winter to the fastest Spring snow.
